Springfield Museum of Art 2012

Eligibility

To participate in the 2012 Springfield Exhibition you must be an OPAS member in good standing for the 2011-2012 calendar year.

Each artist entering will have at least one artwork accepted into the exhibition.

Fees

$20 for 3 Entries
$10 for each additional entry
Maximum of 5 Entries

Jurors

Teresa Widenbush, Artist, Educator, Curator, Department Chair of the Visual Arts at Fort Hayes Metropolitan Education Center, Columbus, Ohio

Details

Artists can attend monthly paint-outs at the 6 sites rotating around the state or paint on their own.  Focus is on multiple entries from each artist of any site in all seasons and weather.  The exhibition will showcase how artists treat the same sites in their own unique way.

Painting Sites for this exhibition are:

• The Great and Little Miami Rivers - water site
• Cuyahoga National Park - Ohio's National Park
• Short North Area of Columbus - urban site
• Holmes County - rolling hills
• Putnam County - Flat country
• Hocking Hills Area - unique landscape

Painting Delivery

Deliver paintings to the museum on the following dates:

• Friday, November 16th

• Saturday, November 17th

• Sunday, November 18th

• Between the hours of 9am to 4pm

Pickup Dates:

• Monday, Tuesday January 14th and 15th, 2013 between the hours of 9am to 4pm

Sales

There is a 25% Commission on sales to benefit the museum.  The museum will handle the sales.

Awards

$3000 in awards

Deadline to enter is September 5th, 2012.  Notifications to be sent out TBA
