A group of 5 High Country Artists took a journey June 4th, south to the beautiful Maryhill Museum in Goldendale, WA to see the 19th and early 20th century Hudson River School landscape paintings. Then driving about 40 more miles West along the Columbia River we visited the artsy town of Hood River. With all its galleries we were easily entertained. Returning back to Cle Elum that evening, we were treated to nature's most wonderous events, two seperate lightening storms that lasted practically the whole way. Natures own lightshow was the best viewing we had for the day. Take a trip see this show and the surrounding area with its incredible views of the Columbia River, waterfalls, Satus Pass, basalt columns, and open terrain.
