FRESIA offers oil painting workshops at Villa de Herra, a 17th century villa located directly on the lake in Lenno. The lakeside location offers a magical view of the lake; a tranquil setting to relax and paint; beautifully prepared meals on the terrace to match the ambiance; and easy access to other towns such as Bellagio, Menaggio and Varenna.

It also offers inspiration. Yes, there’s beauty all around, but the instruction in itself is inspiring. Animated and engaging, Jerry Fresia teaches a painting method that was handed down directly from the French Impressionists to various Americans such as Sargent, Henri, Chase, Hawthorne, and Brackman. You will learn not only the techniques but also the history and philosophy behind this method.

Workshops are open to students with any level of painting experience. Class size is limited to 7 students so you get ample one-on-one instruction. And all art materials are provided so you can travel light or start painting without making a commitment.  Furthermore, they are scheduled one after the other so you can take multiple one-week classes if you wish.
