Too expensive for me.

Wish I could be there, but will be in Hawaii at that time.

Yes, it IS very expensive, accck! I did the payment plan! Not staying at the event hotel either am sharing a room at another (cheaper) hotel with a fellow pastel painter. And I am driving up, it's a long one day or short two days drive from here. If I could have I would camp, but campgrounds are just too far away. Cutting costs all the way around if I can.

I am attending the event and am a last minute add!  I am wishing to room with another gal at the RRock. If there is another Plein Air gal out there who wishes to cut costs down by sharing a room, please message me. Thanks bunches!

Sorry I already have a room mate arranged since December.

Hi Drusilla,

Nice to see you work with pastels!  I do too and love the medium and will have a feature article on my pastel work in the PA magazine this coming April/May issue!  Are you staying at the Red Rock?  It should be a super nice resort, perfect for the convention and I am so looking forward to it.  I do hope to run into you there!  I am still looking for anyone (must be a female) who would like to split up room costs at the RR, even if I stay on a cot as a third leg. :)  Anyway, I am so looking forward to the event!

It will be great to see you again Brenda. Hope you find a roommate!

Nope we are staying at another hotel, next time I will sign up sooner and stay at the main hotel! I did not make the decision to go until after last November as I was so busy with family and I
was not sure if I in fact could set the time aside to go. Then my roomie twisted my arm a bit ( thank goodness ).

A bit too expensive for me this year. Perhaps next year, maybe get together with a few others and rent a RV and share expensies that way... Lets see what next year brings. I will be with you all in Spirit.

I am so glad to hear another "pastel" painter from other than my Georgia group! They are trying to twist my arm to also take a small amount of oil as they think most demos and top artists will be painting in oil. I don't really think it matters, but now I am wondering if I will get there and wish I had my oil paint. One of friends was asking will there be a place to purchase mineral spirits since we cannot fly with this. Does anyone know?

Looking forward to making new friends.
