You are cordially invited to enter the third annual National Juried Show sponsored by the Southern Appalachian Artist Guild (SAAG) and the Blue Ridge Mountains Arts Association (The Art Center). This show will distribute $5,000 in prize money and merchandise. The 2009 show had 181 applicants from 25 states and nearly 500 pieces of art. 115 artists were selected for the competition with 134 works on exhibit. Please contact the Blue Ridge Mountains Arts Association for prospectus and additional information. The show will open on October 16, 2010 and will remain on exhibit through November 12, 2010. The deadline for entry is July 31st. 2010.
The Blue Ridge Mountains Arts Association is located in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains in the Premier Art town of Blue Ridge, GA. October is, traditionally, a heavy traffic time for fall leaf viewers, attracting interest from the surrounding metropolitan areas of Atlanta, Chattanooga, Knoxville and Asheville. Art works selected will be displayed in the Richard Low Evans Gallery, the historic courtroom gallery of the Blue Ridge Mountains Arts Association (The Art Center). The Blue Ridge Mountains Arts Association has been a catalyst for the arts in the Southern Appalachian Region for over 30 years.
