UFO Sightings

I wonder how many of us have UFO stories. 

UFO Report –  February 27, 2008, 6:00pm at Lee Vinnings, CA 

This is the second UFO sighting I have had in my 61 years. The first was when I was 15 in New Jersey, and I will report that another time. However, this more recent on was last year in 2008, occurring in Lee Vinning, CA, on Feb. 27^th, around 6:00pm  as my wife and I were driving north on Hwy. 395. I have to estimate the time because it was just starting to get a bit dark, and we were probably a bit north of Lee Vinning as well, but this is the general time and place. I remember the date exactly because we were driving from Georgia to my son’s wedding on the 29^th of Feb. in Fremont, CA. two days later. Also, the reason I wanted to report it now is because I saw the exacted same thing a few nights ago on the History Channel’s program UFO Hunters. They had a sighting around 3am around Needles, CA of a blue-green glowing rectangular craft streaking across the sky and coming down, which was later picked up by 4 military helicopters and taken away still glowing. This occurred only three months later in May of 2008.

 As I was saying, my wife and I both saw this blue-green glowing rectangle streak across our field of view in front of us from West to East, or left to right, since we were heading north. It took about 2 seconds, maybe only one actually to cross our field of view and it was gone. I was amazed to have seen such a thing and do not believe it was a meteor because of the unusual color and rectangular shape. Also it appeared to be arching upward rather than down. I guess we assumed it was a secret Air Force vehicle, being that Edwards and Area 51 were not that far from us. But after the UFO Hunters story, I feel as though I would like to add my sighting to your files.

 

As an artist, I did a quick drawing of our sighting in Photoshop and my wife just now confirmed that this is what she also saw that night last year.

In late January or early February of 2011, a flooring guy working for us arrived at our home thoroughly shaken. He said he had just seen a UFO in broad daylight over Crossville Road in Roswell, GA. He described an enormous triangular object the size of a football field hovering in the area and said a lot of other people on Crossville Rd. had their windows down to better see this thing. Then it shot off into the sky. We believed him, but saw no mention of it on the news. After a few days, this man refused to talk about it...but he did send me a link to an MSNBC story about triangular UFOs and said that matched what he saw.

My experience was about 20 yrs. ago in upstate NY where I lived. Woke at apx. 4am with an an image in mind of a place 8 miles away on a hill and for some reason got dressed and went there. The sky was clear with the exception of wispy high level clouds streaked across the sky, that is with the exception of a huge area above me that the clouds appeared to come up against something, as if you had thrown sugar down across a table that held a plate and then took the plate up. Oddly I could see the moon and 2 stars very clearly in this area. There was a very distinct area that was round in shape above me that made no sound. I was unafraid and excited , there was no one there to share this with, no cars passed (not unusual given the time) I waited and nothing further happened, no loss of time no messages no nothing. Eventually the high level clouds converged into the area and I drove home. Latter I laughed at myself thinking they must have been looking for intelligent life.

I was visiting a friend in Cave Creek, AZ in 1997, the night that the lights appeared over Phoenix, we were actually outside, columnating the brand new, huge telescope, which look something like this, that he had just gotten. We were reading the directions by flashlight (yes, we should have organized it during daylight hours!). I looked across the valley and asked him what he thought all those lights were in formation over the city. "Oh, it's probably just the military doing something." And yet ... they kept on just hanging there. He was very intent on getting one of the Nebulas in focus, and as much as I insisted, he had no interest in turning the massive telescope in the direction of the UFOs....

Wow, what a great look you could have had of it. Maybe even seeing some passengers looking out the windows. Too bad.

Ok- When I was 12 or `13 years old, I had just made a 3-1/2 inch reflecting telescope, even ground the mirror. My grandfather had come over to visit and I was showing him my scope. It was about 4:30 PM and after a big thunderstorm. We saw these two kite like objects floating and dipping across the eastern sky at a very slow speed. They moved in unison, go a few feet then both would dip down and then come back up.  These objects were under the passing storm clouds and at first I thought it was just debris blown in by the storm, but they were something else. Being under the clouds, I estimated they were at about 1000 to 1500 ft. They looked small -to me maybe 6-to 10 feet across. They continued their erractic flight til they dissapeared. They were shaped like triangles, only instead of straight sides, the three sides curves in -kind of boomerang like. Never have I seen anything before or after that was as strange as this. I did a rough drawing ot the two shapes and their erractic flight path. This was probably around 1953.

Nice drawing, these seem to fit the various descriptions reported by others- they might appear to be oblong if seen at another angle.......fascinating.

Forgot to add the drawing . The objects were rough silver looking, very metallic.
