I like painting the cityscape in plein air, it gives you the opportunity to use color you don't usual see in the landscape. Love those red stop light.

For me it's a great training for inner view - to recognize hidden shades and colors in places that seemed grey for a long time

The city where there's no day or night
The city where it's raining perpetually
A tree in this city is a rarity,
While waters keep coming and coming.

And I'm crying along with the rain
And I'm overflowing like a river
And the stern-looking angels are smiling back at me
While flapping their wings
And breaking up the grey clouds over the city

You can't live in Holland without being a Cityscape painter, ... hehehe

Just back from Paris. What a city for inspiration! A cafe on every other corner, parks throughout, and neighborhoods each with their own identity. Very impressed!

First time posting an image within a group. Let's see if this works correctly. These are my 3 paintings from last weeks trip to Paris.

Wow, Paris looks fun, I only seen it from below ground level once.
Bt watching your work it seems you can paint for ever over there.

The last one is my favorite, but then again they are all very nice!!
