As an aside, have you ever attracted the attention of the law while painting nocturnes in your vehicle at night? I'm an urban and suburban painter, too, and have had encounters with security guards.

Comment by Donald Maier on February 25, 2013 at 2:24pm I have been toying with the concept of making a ID, an Artistic License, which will be laminated like a drivers license and have the look of an official ID card, but totally a joke. This could be shown in awkward moments like these when asked, "what's going on?" and yes, I have been investigated. People get curious and are protective if you are on their property act weird like us artists do.
