"Robin's Chair"  watercolor  15"x22"

This is another watercolor in the San Francisco Interiors series from 1975. This is my roommate Robin's chair with the harp back and cushioned seat that lifted up for her sewing storage.

These are very lovely watercolours, extremely pleasing to look at.

Beautiful!  I love the purple floor in the foreground with the minimal touches on the door and the dark furniture with the warm backlighting.

Nice one Phillip. I wasn't aware that you worked in acrylics. You normally do oils right? I guess acrylics has its advantages when working plein air. Same with watercolor and pastels. The biggest problem is always the wet canvas and having to protect it until it dries.

Here is my latest Lawn Chair painting done today on my lawn.

12"x16" on Arches 140lb. Hot Press

This is the frist of two...

This second watercolor is a 9"x12" also on Arches 140lb. Hot Press

These cheap plastic chairs have become a favorite subject.

I think it is very interesting how you have repeated patterns throughout this painting, very effective and a delight to the eye.

I can't believe it's taken me so long, ...and i still haven't tackled the chair i was intending to paint...but at least it's a start.
