Thanks for putting this up, Toby! You didn't mention it at the meeting this week. Really would love to get out again to paint but pastels don't love this deluge we've been having! Ark building 101 anyone??

Many of the members of the Southeastern Pastel Society have been juried in to a Special Juried Exhibition at the Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art Oct. 3 through Dec.19, 2009 with the opening reception on Sat., Oct. 3, 2009, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Many of the paintings will be en plein air.

I thought I was going to go back to watercolors yesterday but the flood waters stopped about 12" below the floor of my studio. My pastels are dry and life goes on as usual. I think I will never choose to do a rainy subject again after this past week!

For sure, Gary! I'm trying to dry up water in my basement studio...after over 19" of rain in 3 days, it just seeped in through the below grade walls. Hasn't happened since the hurricane that brought us 9" in one day! A 500 year flood, I've heard! Please, no more rain here for a while. Send it where they need it, please!!

Funny, Carly, I have been looking all over this site for the last five minutes at least. Okay, Toby, where did you hide it?
