This wind-saw mill, named "de held Jozua" ( the hero Jozua) was build in 1719. In those days there where over 1.000 mils in Zaandam, mostly in use to produce several things needed by the shipyards in Zaandan and Amsterdam. Almost the complete German "Scharzwald" dissapeared in the Dutch sawmills to build the fleet of Hollands Golden Age.
