PLEIN AIR ARTISTS

An Online Artist's Coop for Artists who Paint on Location

Pots

July, 2006 St. Paul de Vence is the most artsy and touristy village in France. So cute, but so full of tourists, huge busses unloading them every few minutes. My students and I were led to this tiny square off a main street by our Tour Directer Sunny Reeves Livesey. We painted this cute window while cooling off with our feet in the fountain. It was really really hot!

Sorry about your feet, Sandy, but, even though it was hot, the painting is cool. I am curious to know did you paint what you saw, or re-compose (composition, pot colors) to create what you wanted. Whatever you did, it works so well.
