Thanks for your generous comments David, Leon and Cecile..This pastel was painted about 5km from Broken Hill after torrential rain had created orange ponds of water all over the desert . I was struck by the colour of the water and tried to capture the intense light in the outback of Australia.

I like all of your work, but this one the best because of the range of line quality. They all have lessons for me about color.

Yes I see the world as a very colourfull place .....all the colours of the rainbow are present just about  every time I open my eyes and because they are all reflecting off eachother I try to keep the colour moving (changing  throughout the picture ).
