After painting an outside angle of this barn, I ventured inside to escape a sudden rain storm and found this ready-made subject waiting for me.

When my students arrived at the barn, ready to paint, it started to rain. So I looked inside the barn, got permission and did this demonstration for the group. One of those lucky ones.

Wonderful painting. Composition, value, staging all beautiful. The color control proves the point too many have forgotten, that color is 'qualitative' not 'quantitative'.

I love it when the weather forces us to stumble on something we might not normally look for. Great piece simply done.
