plein air field study -- oil on canvas 12x12"

I've been going hog-wild with all the cool, new pumpkin varieties! Now that Halloween is over, farmers are just about giving them away. I just loved this one -- so blue, it's almost unbelievable. I set it up in the grass this afternoon and painted. Long about 3:30 the wind changed and the temperature dropped 10 degrees in a hurry. It helped speed up my painting process!
