Thanks Larry. A few gaffs there that I can see now - like the diminishing row of orange roofs on the far shore which needed toning down in general and the crude attempt at a 'stop' on the left hand side by sticking those branches in. That rather desperate little sailboat is trying to bring the eye back as well. But you have to take the positives and learn from the slip-ups.
Enjoyed the brush exercise video, by the way. Its a good principle to make each stroke of paint count and to try to whittle them down but I've a long way to go yet.
