In the Adirondacks, just south of Lake Placid and north of Keene is an amazing Cascade of lakes alongside Rte 73 as it weaves it's way through the mountains! The V shaped gorge is spectacular to paint with the reflecting mountains cascading down to the lakes! I had an incredible day of Plein Air Painting in a breathtakingly beautiful spot! If it wasn't for the black flies buzzing around my head...I'd say it was nearing perfection! :(
