I did this plein air piece during the Plein Air Rockies 2012. It did nothing in that show but took "Best of Show" for the AANC "Capture the County."

Warm-cool-warm. Light-middle-dark. Opposing diagonals broken by interesting verticals. Warm sunlight in the middle ground infront of misty depths of a valley hidden from view in which lies the unspoken mystery that the viewer must participate in imagining. What a wonderful piece. Thank you.
