Painted on site at Schoodic Point while Artist-In-Residence at Acadia Nat'l Park. I was so "into" this painting, that I didn't notice the tide had come up around the rock I was sitting on! Made for a wet retreat back to dry land with most of my gear hanging around my neck!

Lyn,
Nice work. I love Schoodic Point! My wife and I stay in Southwest Harbor when we go up to Maine. I especially like the bits of blue and red in the trees. Gives it punch.

Thanks, Bruce! I absolutely fell in love with Schoodic Point and Winter Harbor. I have an old high school friend who lives in Southwest Harbor so I had the opportunity to visit that beautiful little spot while I was there as well. I grew up in southern Maine, but never traveled to Acadia until I had my residency there. Now, I can't believe I hadn't been there...it's really what Maine "used" to be.

Fabulous! Come and paint with us here in Lincoln WA this summer. Stay at our cabin. Check out the PAAR 2011 video of last years fun.
