Sometimes the best of plein aire is more local than we think! I stepped on my back porch & discovered this wonderful cloudscape. I quickly set up my portable easel & painted. Tx is known for beautiful cloudscapes...this is one of them!

Thanks, Don, Carol...those colors were actually there..if only briefly. I would love to do a studio version of this if I have more time.

Thank you Rachel...I love the abstract patterns & colors in cloudscapes. No two are ever alike, & it becomes a challenge to paint as they are ever changing (& very quickly sometimes).
