10X12 Acrylic on board. Painted at the pond near Snoqualmie Pass, where three of us from Cle Elum joined the EAFA group from East of Seatle. I did a little work on the reflection of the close bank when I got home.

Nice! I like the clouds, the water and the mountains all combining to give that cool, wet, Snoqualmie feeling. Great job June. I really like how you use so few brush strokes, but every one counts because you have thought out your color so well.
June I have come back to this painting at least four times. I think it's time to tell you how much I like it.

Thanks Lynne, Robert, and Cecile. This is a beautiful spot to paint. There is a trail all the way around the pond. The day we were there, a crew of young workers and their supervisor had the job of clearing out the oxeye daisies. They are not native to that area and are considered noxious weeds. I thought they were beautiful!
On both this and the Lake Kachess ptg somehow the mountains in the distance look particularly real. I wanted to go to that Gold Creek event as well as Snoqualmie plein air but I have been sick a lot, I'll try again sometime. Love your work, I just looked at all of them today
Hi June--thanks for commenting on my paintings! I love this one of yours--it really captures the mist on the hills, the light of a misty day and the feeling of Snoqualmie. I'm sorry I missed the paint out this last summer and I hope to see you in the coming months.
