Thanks for your nice comments. They opened the bridge I was painting from to pedestrian traffic for one day before the scheduled demolition of the bridge. As a result it was like a holiday on the bridge that day with tons of hikers, bikers, and skateboarders, out to experience the bridge as a pedestrian recreation site. Everyone I spoke to said they wished it would have been possible to keep it open to the public on a continual basis, but the bureaucracy had other plans in place.
