Yes I can just imagine you riding the rim of the canyon through the brush coming into this town..theres some pretty hansome steeds in these parts too!

Thanks for the compliment... I love Sargent's war time paintings.. I like this recent piece full of strong bold painting and great little brush work details that add the close up interest. The windows picked out on the right, and the planting rows on the left are simple and suggestive. I really like the way you handle architectural subjects.

yes sargent is one of my favourite watercolourists too. I'm lucky here on this trip to have such rich subject material and the weather to be out there most days. Only a few more days in france though and then home to New Zealand and the last of winter, just hoping there is some snow left.
