This looks like an absolutely huge work! I can't believe it's only 10 x 8"!! All the tension and sense of movement is wonderful! A very exciting piece!

Thanks Sharron, It was a scene I have seen walking past a few times in the last weeks and I thought it could be interesting to tackle it. I like my Nature landscapes more but the light on the skyline grabed my attemntion. I'm still lookingfor a good vantage point overlooking this city :)

Fabulous.  Do you know Nikolai Kraneis in Berlin?  He is on this site.  He came and painted with me last year for our Plein Air Artist Retreat.  I think the video should be on this site.  I'll have to repost it if it isn't.

i like the way to do the back buildings...so difficult to just suggest!

This was my main goal for the morning. to paint the distant buildings. but without the forgroud they have little interest ;)
