When we painted at the veterinary clinic, Matilda was tethered nearby. She 'spoke' to us all morning and I had to return to paint her. She was my first goat subject and I loved the challenge of trying to capture the nuances of her reddish coloring on canvas. The clinic has received several beautification awards for the gardens on its grounds, so I wanted to include them in my painting too. The clinic's neutering foundation is having an art exhibit fundraiser in December, and my Matilda will be one of my entries.
