11 1/2 x 8 1/2 pastel on matboard. Heavily textured matboard using lots of acrylic medium and marble dust. I liked the way the layer beneath contributed to the overall effect.

I like the lacy feel of this. Can you tell me what marble dust is and how it's used? Sounds interesting!

You should be able to buy marble dust at most art supply stores by the bag. It is a very fine dust that can be mixed into acrylic paint, medium or simply sprinkled onto a wet surface. Please wear a dust mask when working with it!
