Hi Shane, I'm not sure if you are joking.
It's just paint on a gessoed board. My paint was slipping and drying fast as I had the sun behind me.Thanks for your nice comment. Joy

Hey, this one is fun! I like it. And I read your comment about slipping paint etc. Don't throw it out. Wait a month and look back at it. You will see what we see in it. All the unexpected little consequences and accidents that add up to it's charm, aren't usually visible right away. Something about the "painting eye" and the "looking at it after eye" that I always learn from. The energy of your strokes, the colors, the vibrancy all seem to capture the day quite well. This is plein air - not studio work. It has something very special about it because of how we paint in plein air that just can't happen in a studio. Nice job! click on this link to see a cheap paint out in my area that you may enjoy www.pleinairartistretreat.com/ - Hope to paint with you one of these days. Lynne

Hi Lynne,Thank you for your kind words about my painting. It will be going in a Plein Air show next week in Anacortes.
Your work is great. The Plein Air of Washington group I belong to has some eastern Washington members that drive this way. See you sometime, Joy
