An Online Artist's Coop for Artists who Paint on Location
Started this one about 9:30pm last night, painted until 1:30..an hours drive to my host, sleep about 3am...
A number of painters over the years have been disappointed that the theater shuts its marquee off so early in the evening here for the annual plein air event...but I rather liked the subdued quiet light falling on it from the street light, and the juxtaposition of the tavern's sign beneath about a block's distance down.

Comment by Mona L Birmingham on June 22, 2012 at 5:01pm It pays to stay up late. Nice painting. You captured a feeling in the painting. I'm an admirer of your work. I love how you work the colors.
