11 x 15 Old red barn in Mineola Tx. Painted on site with SWS paint out group. There were about 30 of us scattered all over the City and rural areas of Mineola Texas. Afterwards we met and had a competition for the best (3). Did not win anything, but did sell the painting to a lady who stopped whild I was painting the scene. Oh well, can't win em all. We had a great time and I got to meet a lot of new friends.

Nice painting Ron. If this did not win, I would like to see the winners. They must really be something. I noticed this is a bit jiggy. looks like motion blurring. taken with a hand held camera. Do you have a scanner. It does a great job on pastels and watercolor and in PhotoShop you can do a great deal to fix many problems. You can put two halfs together if you need to scan a larger on into two pieces. correct for distortion, and of course, color correct and correct the brightness/contrast. You can scan at a very high resolution if you want to post them on FAA for sale as prints too.

Don- Thanks so much for the suggestion and comment re my photo work. Yes- I did take the photo at the lowest resolution and hand held. I was sending the final painting via e-mail to the purchaser to make sure she liked the final results. When she intially came by the site, she did not get to see the finished painting before she had to leave. So I just wanted a quick e-mail version. She did like it and has confirmed she wants the painting. Uusally when I set up with tripod and high resolution, the photos come out a lot better. And yes, there are some really terrific artist in SWS. Thanks so much for your comments. Never considered using a scanner.
