Hey Thanks Don! For featuring this one! This painting happen fast, slightly out of frustration, what for me is so interesting, is the the sky with clouds, distant nob read more representationally, (very effective) where as the middle ground/foreground the shapes are ambiguous, separated by color/value that define the spacial relationships, (plus the painting is weighted; meaning the value gradation from the top of the painting to the bottom is light to dark) THAT contrast; abstraction/more defined representational is for me a basis on which i can use in other paintings, to explore that concept! my perspective.......hahaa perhaps others would be interested.
there are other elements too......what is in shadow, what is not creates a line into the picture plane, zig zags from the bottom, along the ridgeline to the knob. IS it not Great FUN to be a PAINTER??!! WE all have so MUCH FUN!! HAhahaa

Thanks Sarah and Corry! ummmm usually a good landscape is always good as an abstract, that old underlining structure, least that is the way i see it......this one was at the time FRUSTRATING till I let GO!!!! HAhaaa RRRrrrrr!!
