There is a wonderful use of movement and color in this work resulting in an energy that excites the eyes. When it first flashed across my page I had to stop the slide show and study it.
also wanted to let you know I blogged about this painting today on Richard Huston Art

Every time I look at your work......I cannot go back and look at my own.......I feel I need to get some color into my paintings...........oh well.........thats what makes art so grand,,,,,,,diversity.......

Your painting 'the other side of the ranch' has lots of lovely subtle colours in it. I'm just less subtle than you! You're an earth person, try caput mortum (earth purple), sienna, burnt and raw (orange), Indian red, you probably have all these colours anyway! We're all different! You have great brush strokes. If you think that then try it. I find if I look at people's work and think things it means I should be trying that. Your sub conscious is talking to you. The other day I saw a lovely 'limited palette painting so I tried that and liked it very much.
