Scott Street Sunday Morning

Pastel painting done this Sunday morning on Scott Street in Wilmington, Delaware. I've had my eyes on this blue and green building for months and today was the day to catch the brights and cools. Tho' my box of Sennelier soft pastels flipped over onto the sidewalk, face down!

Love, love love this! I'm sure blue and green being my favorite color combo has something to do with it, but mostly the feeling, mood, and nostalgia you captured in this is wonderful.

Beautifully done.

Thank you, all, for your nice reviews. The intense blues and greens of this house caught my eye months ago and last Sunday I was happy to "go to town" on it with my pastels. Midway through, my whole box of Senneliers flipped over, face down, onto the sidewalk. No scream, tho' from me or from them. Recovered, and continued. Maybe I should drop them every time?!

No, don't drop them all the time, but this sure is a winner!

Hi Dennis, I have come back to this painting four times to enjoy the shadows on the right side of the building and especially the quite American flag in the window.
