Hi Robert, thanks for the kudos. Do give it a try. It really allows you to experiment with the different elements - moving this here, deleting that "tree" or adding a "road" element to balance the composition. Working in this style is pure color, value, and composition.

I love these last two paintings , The colors are striking, and they have great emotion, its nice to see paintings that don't  look like they were painted from a snapshot.  Your work is very creative, and stands out from the crowd.

Hey Cam and Romley-Stewart, thanks so much for the comments. This is where my heart is - pushing color around, working with composition to get exciting movement and variety of shapes, values, spaces, lines. It really does help to get out of the studio and immerse yourself into the "real" world, using big shapes and elements that are right in front of you to create a work of art.

There is quite a bit of difference when you can view them side by side like this. This is rough linen - perfect for abstract landscape work and tight as a drum! Wonderful to paint on...
