Can almost smell it...that must be your twin brother?

The great irony for me is that I expected to be in coffee smell heaven working on this. It turns out that when beans are being roasted they do not smell like coffee. At different phases it can smell like lawn grass, burnt toast and even road tar (this is organic beans too!). So I painted from about 12 feet away from the 400 degree oven where they would open it and fill the room with 396 degree steam every 20 minutes.  Worth ti. And the finished product tastes like heaven. Rising up coffee, Dover Street Easton Maryland. Stop in and say hi to Tim and the gang. Tell them Kirk sent ya! Painting is on display there.

Remembering an instant coffee plant in Newport NY when I was a kid  and at times the whole town smelled wonderful.
