I go upto Rocinda to paint from time to ........great medows ,beautiful mountains......but the old logging yard always catches my eye.Yesterday I started to paint it in sunshine......, then the clouds came in. Then this older women who owns the company , and 4,000 beautiful acres drove her atv out to talk. It turns out we knew some of the same people.....had a gret talk while I tried to paint, and she invited me back to paint other scenes.........Another reason for painting on location!!! Although ditracted ,it was worth meeting this women.....and I can finish this at home!!!!

Liked them all but this one is my favorite, just enough red to make the green sing , wonderful variety of shapes and confident brushwork.

There's a good circular movement going on too with the red ladder taking the eye up, lamp posts, log pile and pink scrumble of grass..just noticed it.
