Of the eight paintings I've done of this so far, this is probably about my fave, if only because the whole design seems to be bright and crisp. Although the color of the umbrellas is an actual very light cream yellow, unlike my others where I feed in a cadmium yellow light, I decide here to leave them the pure white of this Kilimanjaro brand of watercolor paper, using the raw sienna under-shadow to imply the yellow.
