View from Whitehouse Trailhead Overlook

8"x10" Oil on linen
The second of three paintings. It's amazing how the red sandstone turns cobalt bluish in the distance.

What a view! The shade values really make this work. The green up front and the slight blueing of the background sandwich that red rock firmly in the middle.

It takes my breath away!  I love the comparison between the big rock and the little trees, those downward brush strokes in the rock and bright colour in the middle are great, the light, tone......wow....

I always enjoy looking at your work Damien , you seem to have so much air and space in your paintings. They are special.
