The first of 3 paintings done on a one day visit to Chinle, Arizona - Canyon de Chelly National Monument. Tsegi means canyon in the Navajo language and is the word that de Chelly is derived from.

I think you should give up your day job and just paint/teach! Did you mix that orange?
I know these view points so well. I met Travis Terry at this one. His home is straight down in the valley. Find him next time and ask him to take you into the valley. He may put you up in his hogan. He is a flute craftsman, composer and performer. Cool guy. Tell him I sent you.
Hi Georgina, yes mixed everything. The orange is actually more bright red oxide than anything else with touches of other colors.
Well, I am late to this party............You are in the zone!! On all three ......Very enjoyable to look at......and you really got the feel........
