The light is...wow! And the colors. Love the calligraphy in the sky. I would guess you really enjoyed painting this one.

Thanks, Scott. Its a view across the bay from my adopted home town, Wexford. Right now I'm struggling to render those whispy bunches of twigs and branches you get at this time of the year in the ditches and along riverbanks. I've seen you manage them well. Any tips? Or just hard work and observation?

I am greatly humbled.  I think the surface you paint on can help with some of these effects.  I use claessens oil primed linen 15 double primed or #66 for larger work.  Though I have a long way to go but these surfaces help.

super painting Tony.  The question you asked Scott - I use the edge of a palette knife.  Have you tried that?  I'm so looking forward to being in Ireland - five weeks to go!
