This pinting was just completed before the cold air hit. I did this on three afternoon settings. I love the winters in Colorado, the days are usually mild and sunny. I have painted this area several times. It is about eight miles from my home and studio. I love portraying the warm tans and browns of the trees against the cool blues of the snow and sky.

Great Depth played by values, cold winter but warm atmosphere.

This is absolutely gorgeous! Love your trees!...Your colors are so delightful...the forest in it's soft, hazy tans and charcoals, iced with snow and cool blue shadows! So lovely!
