40 or more artists showed up to paint over the 3 days of painting in Historic Bartow, Florida. and by all accounts it was fun and productive, and for some a new and mind blowing experience of getting out doors to paint. Visited our Property had dinner with old friends, breakfast with old friends and then up to Dalonaga for Steve to ride in the 3 GAP 6Gap bike ride....beautiful weather came upon us for Sunday and I hiked out on the AT for 3 hours, took lots of pic's and just enjoyed the views of the Mt.'s from the Blood Mt. area. Beautiful mist rising in the morning with clear skies all day....Only 2 motorcyclists became organ donors.....it is sad, just glad they didn't hit any of the Bicycle… Continue

I posted the Bartow Plein Air Event info twice....Oop's on the first on as it was not the final copy...had it on the desk top....lots of confusion this past few weeks. Think it was the August heat and having a headache from allergies almost every day....anyway this week is dryer thus far and so I am better. Hope you can participate or just come and watch us paint! I live in Florida now...and it is hot as hades so I am pretty much indoors for the summer, looking out at my garden and will be painting it as well as portraits of friends...no sense wasting a season. I think of summer in FL as our winter.....not a friendly time to be out. Good time to reflect, work from reference photo's, do still life and paint friends....keeps me going. Visiting my daughter in LA this weekend....lots of photo's...nice outdoor time! Enjoy
