Winter Afternoon Taos

"Beautiful painting Bill!  I love the deep violet shadows in the snow which compliment so well the warm orangey shrubs. I love New Mexico and have only been there in the winter a couple of times.  It is amazing. "

Hi Bill, I checked out your website - nice! I was already familiar with & love your work (have the NM landscape book.) If you have more info. on your workshop in Santa Fe in Oct. I'd love an email with the particulars: jeannie@jeanniebreeding.com

I'm going to be doing some plein air in Taos the weekend of Sept. 25th, so may just swing down to the opening of your show.
Happy painting!
Jeannie

Bill,
Thanks for the invite, but I have already blown my educational budget for this year. I will keep it in mind for next year though.
Thanks, Cynthia

Thanks, Bill, for your kind words about my watercolors.
I looked at your oils on your website. Superb! Your composition is solid and balanced and you have captured the light beautifully.

Robert Henri is one of my very favorite authors, too.

Best,
Michele

Hi Bill,
Actually I wasn't familiar with Tom Thompson--but I just looked up his work--I like it a lot--curious why you mentioned him. Also curious about what you feel you are really good at teaching. I don't mean to put you on the spot, but its an interesting topic to me--

Hi Bill,
Thanks for your comments. I looked up Marc Bohne. Interesting painter--the small paintings could be outdoor paintings but he says he does not paint on location. Then I look at Tom Thompson's paintings "Spring Ice" and "Study for Spring Ice" in my little book on the Group of Seven, and I think--that is really interesting--the immediate and the studio painting side by side--both beautiful but different.

Hi Bill, sorry it's taken a bit to get back with you but yes I know about Harlan Hubbard. Where he lived, Payne Hollow, is just down river (Ohio River) from me. Harlan gave his property to a good friend of mine upon his death.

Hi Bill,
Thanks very much for sharing your experience. I'm glad my painting evoked some positive feelings for you. Best of luck in finding peace and serenity through your painting.

Thanks Bill, always nice to hear a nice word. We are lucky to be artists, we never let the special things in life pass us by.

Hi Bill, I enjoyed meeting you & seeing your show in Santa Fe. Great show; love your work! Wish I could have purchased a piece or two. Thanks also for introducing me to Albert Handell. I had the chance to have dinner with him & visit his studio. He is a totally delightful man! I hope to take one of your workshops in the future. Happy painting! Jeannie
