It's a challenge to stay the course while sun and wind, heat and cold try to get the upperhand. My goal is to see more of the visual glories offered by the terrain and skies of this part of the northern plains, and to use paint and color to describe parts of them.
Helen, thank you for your comment on my piece. I have looked at your page and I am quite impressed with your painting. Furthermore, it seems like your countryside is quite similar to mine!
Thanks, Helen, for your kind words and warm welcome.
I very much like your work, particularly the snow scenes, which are very dynamic. It appears you have as much snow, if not more, than we do in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada (although we had a fairly big storm yesterday).
Thanks for your kind comment, Helen. I missed the feature as I was down in the hills of Eastend Saskatchewan painting with a bunch of friends. I will post a few of the plein airs I did whilst down there.
"Thanks Ann. I enjoyed going through and looking at your paintings. I like your compositions, colors, and patterns, as well as your feel for these places and your handling of the paint."

I like your philosophy and your paintings. I can get a real feel for the wide open landscape,
'the big skies' and nature.
