- The Death Valley paint out found 8 of us enjoying the best weather, days at Texas Springs in the 70's with little wind. I scooted back home a bit earlier than anticipated as the El Nino storm pattern was heading in during the third week in January. Traveling up US 395 in a scenic wonderland to Susanville across to home was fabuluous...no snow or ice on the road.
I had to put my dear old soulful dog Annie down just before leaving...finding myself in a bit of maliase and not painting much. Our group had lots of laughs, good political, metaphysical discussion, and great stories etc.
