Marie Nagel is a Canadian painter, working mostly in acrylics, living in Victoria, B.C. In 2008, she re-located to Vancouver Island from the central interior of the province where she operated Marie Nagel Gallery in Wells for 17 years.
Most of Marie's work is semi-abstract based on the landscape, still life subjects or other commonplace objects.

Tofino BC painting excursion this week
I am part of a contingent of nine Victoria BC plein air painters in Tofino, B.C. for a week of painting dramatic seascapes on the west coast of Vancouver Island.

Painted at a beach north of Sidney when the tide was very low exposing lots of rocks usually hidden.
