Website Overhaul

I have just revamped my website and added a lot of new work. I've also added a new section "Field Studies" which are plein air pieces done purely to capture a light effect, i.e. no real concern with compositional or other issues. It is also now possible to purchase directly via the website with field studies starting for as little as $250.  Check it out at:-

Hi Michael. Glad you could make it. Smashing painting. Rob is on this site too, if you want to look him up. Don't forget to register as an Art in the Open member on 'Groups'.

Hi Michael. I think there's a link near the top of the page - I think it has been auto-removed on my page as I've already registered but I've looked at other group pages and they either have an open membership or an approved membership link at the top r/h of the page. I'm not sure which ours is, tbh.

Hi Michael, I thunk I've figured it....
There should be, under the banner at the top of the page, either a full width pale yellow banner which you click on, or instead, under the banner in the exact centre of the of the page width, a small yellow plus sign which you can click on.

I've SO enjoyed viewing your work today, here and on your web site! Years ago I visited Ireland and I'm thinking, you're a brave man indeed to paint plein air there - it's a tad windy. Ha!
But seriously, you've inspired me to again peruse my photos of that marvelous trip and do a sketch or two.

Michael, thanks for you input to my blog "Defintion of Plein Air". It is nice to hear from someone across the pond. Your description of the weather in Ireland is prettry much what we experienced here on the St Lawerence River- 1000 Islands Region for the month of October and I got studio fever. One good day with sun and in the low 50 degrees Farenheight and one cloudy day with the same temperature was all I got out in, otherwise my free days were rainy. Plus the change in season and temperatures and the body resists adjusting. I know eventually on a 40 degree day in January with sunshine I won't mind painting outdoors after being first conditioned with some sub-zero weather.. I like the way you show your initial block in and a reference photo for your plein air work on your website along with the finished work and when I get a formal website set up I will use your idea.

Well, it's new for me and I like it that there are only painters on this site.
