"Very nice feel.  The lower trunk of the center tree sticks in my eye a little.  This is a yummy piece.  Good gradation, good color harmony.  I really like it.  Thanks for painting it."

Painting truth.

So.  There comes a time in the process when it is apparent that the painting will not be or become what you have envisioned.  A true single point where no decision will cause the truth you hoped to occur. From this point your own reluctance to face and endure will determine how the painting will progress if at all.  This is where I can become paralyzed.  Darting about searching for my fading concept, my dying child. Now, the less sensitive among us may offer their derisive snorts.  Those of us…See More

Nancy, I hope you'll post a photo of the painting you did at Artists on Location yesterday. I thought it was a true gem; I've been thinking about it ever since!

Nancy, I went this weekend to check out the spot at the top of Kaaterskill Falls that we spoke about. Pretty awesome! I didn't bring any painting gear this time; just took a bunch of photos. You can't really see the waterfall, but there are fabulous views of Kaaterskill Clove from up there, and wonderful small waterfalls along the stream just above the main drop. Let's go there and paint! Pack LIGHT!

I have to hang our Rhinebeck show Sunday morning, and half my paintings are upstate; so yes, I'll have to be up there at least Saturday night....Maybe Friday night too.

Hi Nancy
Lovely meeting you at the WWTM in Colorado - even though there was little precious time for socializing...

Haven't painted - just playing catch up at the studio from taking the time off. I'm teaching a 2 day workshop tomorrow and Monday here in Niagara.
It's going to be on the cool side.
If you ever get on Facebook - there's a group of participants from the WWTM.

Your painting of Lawrence Farm caught my eye. Beautiful. Hope you are busy painting. I am enjoying having my own studio where I can work without Telephone Tv or Computer distraction.
