Plein Air Painting in Florida - My 14th State in the Quest to Paint in all 50 States

Geometric basalt rock creates amazing water falls. You need to be there in June when the water volume from the melting Sierra snow pack is at it's peak. It's well worth the trip!

Kanab Plateau near Mt. Carmel, Utah

I painted this on the way East from Zion National Park in the evening light. I'm currently working on a much larger studio piece inspired by this small plein air painting. Southern Utah is mind blowing in its beauty - Maynard Dixon country after all.

Plein Air Check List - for Oil, Pastels or Watercolor
