An Online Artist's Coop for Artists who Paint on Location
I have a degree in Fine Arts and have been teaching art since the late '70s.
After juggling job and family for a few decades I have been back to my own art-making for about 10 years. My main painting medium has been oil pastels since I developed an allergy to dust, but I still use soft pastels (with a mask) and sometimes acrylics.
Although I also do studio painting, mostly landscapes, I love working on location and have paintings of both origins in commercial galleries and private collections in North America and Europe. A member of the Plein Air Painters of the Bay of Fundy , I have participated in paintouts and shows with that group and with Bloomin’ Artists in New Brunswick.
I love the multi-sensory experience of painting en plein air and find that it has also enhanced my studio work.
