My journey with art is a continual quest to capture what I love on canvas… to redisplay and reinterpret the wonders I find in nature, people, colors & form. I feel compelled to emulate and interpret what fascinates my senses – to catch the light, shadows, color and mood of a subject.

I enjoy working freely & intuitively in the moment, leaving behind angst and just enjoying the creative process. To be out in nature and the elements is exhilarating and I like to paint plein aire as much as possible. I work quickly to capture a freshness, usually alla prima.

While much of art is subjective as far as personal preference, I do hope my work reflects my love of God's creation and color-- and the joy of creativity.
